This year for Carnival of Flowers week we have put together a variety of entertainment including plays, singing, dance and musical theatre performances.

There will be a brace of short plays from Australian playwright Daniel Keene on the Monday, Tuesday and Friday nights.  These plays, to be directed by Lyn Hodgson, will be an enjoyable experience of contemporary Australian theatre.

On the Wednesday night we will have a night of jazz with Paul Hendon’s Goodman Band.

n the Thursday night High Altitude Harmony men's a capalla chorus and the McHardy Sisters will present an Evening of Song.

Unfortunately the Dance show (Sept 28) has had to be cancelled. Patrons who purchased tickets will receive an refund. We apologise for any inconvenience.
On the Saturday, Celestial Effects, a dance group from Brisbane, will present “Elements”.  The show explores the beauty and necessity of the natural world through dance, poetry and community.

Our week of entertainment will conclude with a Sunday matinee, with “The Second Chance Theatre Company – There’s a song in that”, telling the story of two friends (shall we say in their ‘older’ years) who are still trying to make a go of it in the music industry.  The story is mostly told in the lyrics of well-known (and not so well-known) songs in a mix from jazz to music theatre to opera by Elaine Coates, Kathleen Watts and Brett Fahey.

Carnival week at Rep will be a wonderful way to experience what the local theatre community has to offer during the Carnival of Flowers.
